My son started in January and we started seeing and becoming friendly with more parents at the neighborhood playground as the weather got nicer. When we changed daycares it took a lot longer, like 9 months. The big differences were that at our first daycare most of the kids lived in the neighborhood and there were a lot of expats, so more English speakers. At our current daycare, not a lot of kids live in the neighborhood and the population is mostly locals. Some of the parents are really close friends now and they arrange meet ups for play dates, go out to dinner, text, offer babysitting and hang out without kids. </p>
