It's a dresser, so we just took the pad off. I'm envious of everyone that got so much use of out theirs! Our LO was way too much of a squirmer and escape artist, so we stopped using ours probably before even 6 months old. We've had our moments of her trying to turn, but I know that would happen no matter where I change her, and I prefer to keep all the diapering supplies in one place, rather than all over the house--just for my own piece of mind! I'd assume we'll use it until she's done with diapers. It's easier for me to stand and change her and she's usually less likely to try and scoot away because there's less room. She decided not to sleep in our room and there was no space in hers. I think he'd be a crazy child on the floor trying to roll away. The height helps to keep him contained. She is now in her "big girl" room but the changing pad is still on the dresser in the "baby" room (keep all diapers in there too) - trying to give her the idea diapers are for babies (not working yet!). We only really use it for #2 diapers and do all the #1 diapers standing up wherever now. What's funny is that baby brother is coming in Jan and she already tells me he can't use her changing table. sigh . . .
