@Mrs. Lion So you think it'd be better to keep her earlier two naps at 1.5 hours, then just move bedtime back an hour early to 7:30? Or even earlier?

I think it was around 6 or 7 months. Hard to remember exactly. He dropped it on his own and then we just started putting him to bed earlier

She went to 2 naps right around 6 months. We also moved up her bedtime because of it.

I think if you drop the evening nap you will need to move bedtime back. My lo still has a hard time going 4.5 hours at 16 months.... He is a pretty high sleep needs kid, but that is a really long time for a 6 month old.

Our LO dropped his 3rd nap before 6 months, but he also started going to bed at 6:30 p.m. after the whole 4 month sleep regression. So our daily schedule since 5.5 months has been:

Wake: 7 am
Nap: 9am - 11am
Nap: 1pm - 3 pm
Bed: 6:30 (start bed process around 5:45 pm)

That last hour before bed is tough, but he loves his little swimming pool, so he's lived in it before bedtime this summer! Keeps everyone happy :)

Between 5-6mths she alternated between 2 and 3 naps. At 6mths it was gone.

I think it was around 7-8 months. She just kind of naturally dropped it on her own. It just kept moving back later and later until it was too close to bedtime so we just started keeping her up.

At 7.5 months she dropped it on her own. She spread her awake time to accommodate.

ETA: I remembered that's when we went to a 2-3-3 routine. She couldn't be up 4 hours until she went to 1 nap but I know that's my typical.

At 6 months old R settled naturally into two naps a day. Her first nap is around 9 and the second is around 1:30. She goes to sleep at 7. Before that she didn't have a set nap schedule but napped whenever she felt like it.

Our LO is six months old, and we're considering dropping her third nap. From what I'm reading, that's a little on the young side. It seems like it's hard for her to get to sleep for her third nap, it's only 45 minutes to an hour, and it's completely disrupted when we meet with friends or visit grandparents (she doesn't sleep well at other people's houses).

The books I'm reading recommend lengthening her earlier two naps to two hours each to make up for it. I'm a little nervous to eliminate her evening hour so early, though! Does anyone else have experience with it? Our schedule would look like this if we get rid of it:

8 AM Wake and Feed
10:00 Nap
12:00 Feed
2:00 Nap
4:00 Feed
8:00 Feed
8:30 Bed

I won't lie, entertaining her for 4.5 hours terrifies me, too.
