I was still nursing but I as no longer engorged or leaking, I was used to the numb/weird feeling of my million stitches episiotomy scar, I had finally lost all the weight and was back in my regular clothes. I got a haircut and a pedicure, and just doing those little me things and taking a few hours away from the baby made me feel like a person again instead of just a 'new mom'. She is on a sleep schedule so i finally have about 3 hours at night for myself! cleaning, working out, t.v. or just sitting and doing nothing! Ive also noticed DH and I are laughing and finally having time together. Im not tired all the time and I feel better physically. First it was baby blues (for about 4 weeks), then it was stress of having so much I wanted to do every day and not being able to fit it all in, then it was coming to terms with life having changed so much (in a good way, but still changes!).
