It definitely hurt the first time. Even close to 6 months it hurts a wee bit initally, but once he is "in" its fine. It took us 3 months to the day to successfully have sex again!</p> <p>DH tried to get jiggy with it yesterday morning, but before anything could really start DS woke up and wouldn't fall back asleep, and I'm not gonna lie, I was kind of glad to be "saved by the bell". After the last attempt ended in tears I was scared to try again.</p> <p>Then last night he drew me a hot bath and poured me a glass of wine and did the dishes while I soaked. </p> <p>Much, much better last night, yay! It wasn't awesome, and definitely required lube, but I actually...dare I say it...enjoyed myself!</p> <p>It was uncomfortable at first, but more in the "I haven't had proper sex in months" way rather than the "Oh my god you're ripping me apart" way. I got lucky. And I would not say that it ever hurt, terribly. It was uncomfortable in those first 6 weeks, so we didn't really do it. But never any serious pain. I'd say it felt like a yeast infection, if you've experienced that.
