Very early-- first few days? We did at least one bottle a day since the beginning since we wanted him to always be used to the bottle. He didn't have any nipple confusion (he took a pacifier too) so we were lucky.

Thanks girlies!
You have all made me feel better! I was seriously starting to consider asking my husband to drop me off at home after the ceremony....

We started a couple of days after she was born. So far she has no issues of going back and forth between bottle and breast. I usually give her 2-3 bottles a day. Oh and she is 3 weeks old btw.

We gave LO a bottle on day 2. She was jaundiced and I needed to supplement with formula.

We had to give LO a bottle in the first few days of her life (we had a rough start to breastfeeding) and then again on her 1 month bday. Then soon after that, she outright refused the bottle.

I've read that it's best to introduce a bottle for the first time around 4-6 weeks.
We have a family wedding to go to on May 18th which depending on when LO arrives will put her at 3-4 weeks old.
Which means I would have to try it for the first time before the wedding to make sure she takes to it, right?

I'm afraid of introducing a bottle too early!

Unfortunately it's not a church wedding so there's no time lapse in between I can go home and nurse. So we will likely have to leave a few bottles with my mom to feed her.

When did you first introduce a bottle to LO?
