We plan on starting at one, but you could ask your pediatrician what they think. I'm sure it is fine though!

we started milk at 1, but it took a while for him to like the taste. I say if he is willing to drink it and doesn't show signs of allergies, that's great. One of my friend's pediatrician actually recommended her kids to start trying cow's milk prior to 1 yr.

I'll start at 1 but if she rejects formula I'm not opposed to starting her early on cows milk.

That's awesome that he loved the cow's milk!!

My LO is almost 11 months and I've mixed a little into his bedtime bottle and into his morning smoothies. I started this early because I'd like his bedtime bottle to be all cow's milk by a year so I can stop pumping.

I did some reading about introducing cow's milk early and most people say that paediatricians recommend 1 year because it's easier to say. A lot of sources say that you can introduce cow's milk between 9-12 months but it's not overtly recommended because breastmilk/formula should be the primary source of nutrition. All of my nieces and nephews (x6) had cow's milk before a year.

We waited until one. I don't know the reason for it though..... maybe you can ask your doctor?

My LO has been rejecting formula during the day for a while, so I find myself throwing out a ton of formula because he won't drink it after mixing. Then when he started daycare at 11.5 months, I decided to chill and let them do whatever (he's in the 12-18 month room and kids there drinks cow's milk). He tried cow's milk in a cup happily! He gobbled them down during the daytime (with meals) since. I still give him a bottle of formula first thing in the morning and before bedtime though, which he'd drink 2-5 oz depending on what he feels like.

People say no cow's milk before 1, and I feel like I was being judged when I told my fellow mommy friends... but it just seems so natural!
