I hope to have a date night and leave LO with one of other mothers around 4 weeks after the baby is born. </p> <p>Who knows how I will actually feel when the time comes. But, my mom raised 4 kids and has helped my sister in recent years with her babies so I have no concerns about whether she could handle it - she will probably handle it much better than me! DH was fine leaving her, but I didn't want to. We didn't have an actual date night until she was 5 months old. I would leave her with my mom for doctor's apts, but that's it. Honestly, I wouldn't change that and go earlier. Hubby and I were invited to a wedding (about 2 hours from home) on June 29th, so she will be almost two months old by then. I mentioned to him yesterday "Wow babe, that wedding might be the first time we leave the baby with the family. We can have a date night!" and he answered back "No way, that is way too soon. we're bringing her with."</p> <p>I am sure we won't really discuss it further until the time actually comes, but I was wondering how soon you started leaving your infant with a sitter or family? </p>
