She had soooooooooo much fun! She caught on after the first house and was literally running from one house to the next. :) She was so excited!</p> <p>DD didn't really get candy at that age, so we "traded" her candy for little treats (stickers, those cheesy platic Halloween rings, etc...) once we got home. Last Halloween DD was almost 19m and we again just went to a few houses but didn't take a bucket with us so while she was given a piece or two of candy I just let her hold it until we got home and then put it into our give away supply. We took them to a few houses. My oldest held his pumpkin bucket and got two little pieces of candy. They were both soft chocolate so we let him nibble on one of the pieces. The twins we did not collect for.</p> <p>The next year we went to a few more houses but the boys still didn't really get what was going on. We went with another baby his age (and his mom obv!) and it was fine. I think she'd enjoy going to the neighbors so they could ooh and aww over her..... she's a sucker for attention and loves to wave and smile at people. She does that when they aren't even looking. But I don't want her to have candy. She doesn't even know what it is and would have fun playing with it in the wrapper. </p> <p>Would that be weird or rude to go trick or treating if I don't want her to have the candy? </p>
