@BeBop: yay, glad you got good numbers! And glad mine helped! I seriously know exactly what you mean - I remember panicking over my numbers and not being convinced they were "good enough" for me to relax about things!

Totally sounds like things are right on track for you!

@BeBop: yeah great betas! Don't be buying any more digital tests :) and so sweet of DH to get you birthstone jewelry! How close in age will your LOs be? Mine will be about 21 months apart. Best wishes on the remainder of your pregnancy. Sorry we missed the same due date thread by a few days!

@marionberry: @MrsTal: @delight: @raintreebee: Thanks so much for helping me to not go nuts:)

UPDATE: I'm just over 3600 hcg today, so I basically exactly doubled. The anal retentive anxious mess of a pregnant person that I am initially wanted to be a little concerned that I *only* doubled, but thanks to @runnerd for sharing her similar betas that didn't quite double and still resulted in a lovely healthy baby, because that has helped me to just be grateful and shut the crazy down today:)

@Mrs.Pinecone316: Thank you for sharing! The doctor said I'm pretty textbook at this point so I feel a lot better:)

@runnerd: Thank you again for posting your betas. I just got the call that I am at 3600 and some change, and the doc on call said I'm "textbook." If you wouldn't have posted your numbers, I would have been mildly panicked hat I *only* doubled by the skin of my teeth, so thank you so much:)

@BeBop: I think that beta sounds great! The last one I got was 4w4d and it was 1100 and my betas were considered high since I have twins so 1800 at 5 weeks sounds very normal. Hoping it doubles!

@delight: YAY! Congratulations! You can rest easy now:) My EDD is 5-2:) I joke with my husband and say I hope this one is born early in April because the birthstone is diamond, lol. He gave me earrings and a necklace in my daughter's birthstone, so I pick on him that he may be on the hook for some diamonds haha:) He has a good comeback -- which is that the jewelry he gave me with her birthstone is set in diamonds, so he won't buy anything at all because he's already covered;)

@BeBop: Your numbers seem great for 5w! I got my 3+ this morning with FMU and I think I'm 5+5. I haven't tested since 5+2. I bet you get yours in the next day or two with those HCG numbers. I did read that HCG is higher in blood than in your urine which is why these tests can be deceiving. I wish you were joining out April group but I think maybe you're early may?

@BeBop: I'm going to test again tomorrow at 5+5 and that's the last test I will take. I did this last pregnancy too and everything turned out fine. I agree they make these tests wonky just so we keep buying them! Good luck with your repeat betas!

@MrsTal: @theotherstark: thanks! I know that likely everything is fine too. It's just really nice to see that 3+ :) good luck to both of you for the rest of your pregnancies, hope you're feeling well!

@BeBop: my 5 week beta was 1864. @marionberry: is right the doubling matters more than the number itself. Hcg varies so much and it depends on when your baby implanted, which you have no idea of knowing. Stop googling you will go crazy. Step away from the computer and enjoy your weekend, right now you are pregnant and right now is what matters.

@BeBop: My RE always said the concern was doubling (or at least 1.5) but not the number itself. Try to remain positive. I say that knowing how hard it is. Your second beta should put your mind at ease.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: @marionberry: @MrsTal: Since you guys had betas...I ended up panicking and calling the dr. She let me go for a beta to reassure me, and I'll go for a 2nd on Monday. I am right at 5 weeks (I am pretty positive I ovulated 3 weeks ago today - I got a CBE smiley the morning before), and they just called and said my hcg is 1800. From my Dr. Googling, I think that's low. The dr on call, not my dr, told me that it's a good number. I admitted to her I was disappointed based on my googling and she said that HCG varies all over the place, and we need to see if it doubles on Monday to totally put my mind at ease, but that "it's a promising number."

Does 1800 at 5 weeks sound okay? I've been reading all these people that were in the 4000s and 7000s and I'm dying over here.

This was going to be a relaxing weekend. Ummm....No. Not at all.

Don't worry! I wouldn't even bother with the ones that tell you the weeks. Dealing with infertility and being on IF boards so long I know first hand how betas vary SOOO much so to have a test that estimates how pregnant you based on them are makes no sense to me. Just another thing to stress us girls out I guess, as if we don't stress enough on our own :meh: If your lines are getting darker then that is a good thing. Congrats! Praying this one sticks, so sorry about your previous losses, that would make anyone worry. Hang in there!

I posted this just weeks ago. I got my 3+ at 5w2d. When reading their FDA tests it said it doesn't go to 3+ until 2600 but their threshold for 2-3 is so low it's rare you'd truly hit it a week later. My last hCG test almost 2 weeks ago had me at over 50,000 so try not to worry. Those tests are the worst!

I tortured myself with those darn things...

It seems like the jump to 3+ usually happens mid 5 weeks. For me I was far behind right from the beginning so I knew something wasn't right. It honestly sounds like you'll see that 3+ very soon. I wouldn't be too concerned if I was you because you've been getting strong bfp's.

@delight: @BeBop: Those tests have such a large range, it's rediculous. I was getting weekly blood draws to test my hcg levels and everything was going swimmingly according to those but those tests weren't budging the way I thought they should. I don't think I got my 3+ until like 5w4d or something like that. So try not to worry too much, I know it's hard, but I'm sure everything is fine. I'm now 17 weeks, with what seems to be a healthy active baby.

@delight: @BeBop: Please don't take those tests to heart! they are so incredibly fickle and can be very inaccurate. I took them and at one point got my 3+, then, since I had one left, I took it and it went back down to 2-3. It was in the mid afternoon, and I had been drinking a ton of water that day, etc. etc. but of course I freaked out and was convinced I was miscarrying. I had a dr appt soon after, I think, and everything looked fine on the ultrasound. I am now 26w.

So, just wanted to say that those tests are very unreliable :) Try not to stress too much.

I got a 3+ at 5w4d... I didn't want to try before then for precisely the reason you're freaking out. I've heard they can be a bit fickle and shouldn't really be relied on.

@Mrs. Champagne: Bless your heart for sharing that:) Thank you:) My husband does not understand why I would have even tested again, much less spent money on tests, after the first few days of us establishing that the lines were getting satisfyingly stronger each day. When I think about it, that makes a lot of sense - to not test again...I wish I had his logical brain :/

@delight: Thanks for replying:) I wish I would have never bought these stupid things because I would be on cloud 9 without them. Of course I've googled it to death, and I know this seems to be a fairly common concern with people who use them. Especially the leap from 2-3 to 3+. So I will say a little prayer for us both that the scans show healthy little babies:)

I have also spent a small fortune on CB digis too. Which just adds insult to injury. I am hoping that maybe their business plan is to make the "3+" a little elusive so that crazy women (like me) will continue to buy them to gauge the progression of their pregnancy. My scan is not until almost 7 weeks:(

I'm going through the exact same thing right now and I got my positive on Aug 15. I tested 2-3w at 4+2 and a couple days ago it said the same thing at 5+2. I've heard though that those conception indicators are kinda bogus so don't read too much into them! I'm just keeping my fingers crossed until my scan on Friday. I hope it works out for both of us, we will be due around the same time!

I am a member going anonymous because I'm pregnant but haven't really told anyone yet because of previous losses - don't want to get too excited. I have a LO, so I've had a successful pregnancy since my losses, and I found out I was pregnant at 9 dpo on Aug 18. I have felt really good about this pregnancy, my lines on Frers got significantly darker each day, and when I test occasionally just for fun, my tests have been way darker than the control line for a while.

Then I started messing with the stupid CBE digis with weeks estimator. Big. Fat. Mistake. I took them around when I got my bfp and they were 1-2. I took some this week and they were 2-3. I would have been 5 weeks yesterday or today and it has not bumped up to 3+ yet (I test with FMU). So now I'm terrified that it's not progressing as it should. I read online that the HCG threshold for 3+ is 2000. I am worried that I'm not over 2000 and if I'm 5 weeks, that's not good:(

Has anyone else had a similar experience? Or were they pretty accurate for you?
