At 9 months started sitting him once a day. He just turned 19 months and I honestly think that if I had the discipline/energy he could already be potty trained but with being pregnant I just haven't been able to keep up with it. I 'offered' the potty and had her go right after naps and waking up. She never asked...still rarely will ask. It was a complete failure, but he learned how to sit on the potty and has become more comfortable with the idea. I'll try again when the weather warms up. It's really your choice when you start but I do think just having it around makes kids feel more comfortable with the concept of going on the potty. She tells us when she's wet or if a poop is bothering her. We aren't going to push it. When she's ready we'll start. I just bought it to have on hand. It seems so early for that! Is my LO really ready for a potty? She doesn't ever tell me when she's wet yet, or when she has a poopy. She actually couldn't care less if she has a wet diaper or a poop. She does love changing her dolls diapers though :)
