@Foodnerd81: DD runs hot too but then her hands are always cold (and then her head would be sweating..?! That is always my only concern about 2-pc! I'd looove to put her in 2-pc as they're so much easier to get on/off now that she refuse to lay still!

@snowjewelz: my LO runs pretty hot at night so while sometimes I try to put socks on, she often pulls them off and I don't worry. But last winter she did still wear the fleece footies. She also had small feet so has never outgrown her pjs by the feet first.

Don't remember exactly when, but it was definitely after 1 year. My first born is a big boy for his age, and super strong, so 2 pieces just were easier!

~12 months. He has a total meltdown every night between bath and milk -- getting him into 2 pieces is so much easier now that trying to get him in a zip up. (He loves bath time, and the moment he takes a sip of milk, he is totally fine again...it is literally just for diaper/pjs. ugh!)

with DD she probably transitioned around 18 months, but we still used some footed sleepers. DS has been using some 2 piece jammies the past month and he's 7 months. I find they're easier to put on/off. and if I worry about his feet being cold I put sock on him

For 2 pc, if it's cold, do they wear socks?? Sleep sack??

I agree on the out-growing 1 pc too fast; DD is almost 11 months and it is her big feet that outgrows the 1 pc too! But I'm in the NE and I haven't attempted to put a sleep sack on her...

This year I'm explaining to my 3 year old that two piece are easier for her to go potty (she's been potty-trained but wears pulls ups at night for a year.) She really wants footies like her sister (baby.)

It's really hard finding 24 month 1 piece sleepers, so DS is usually in 2 pieces. It makes me sad because they aren't as cute or look as comfy, but I'll deal!

We switched to almost all 2 pieces at 12 months. They last longer! He outgrew one pieces so fast because of length and the feet. With two pieces since it's just pants they last him longer since his feet aren't trying to bust out the bottom. And I just think they are so cute :-)

C is 2 and we still do both, though more two piece ones. She likes to choose between them. I think I started getting the 2 pieces in around 18 month size and started phasing the 1 pieces out after 24 month size. I like the fleece one pieces in the cold weather though. I imagine once we are potty training they will have to go.

We just transitioned at 14 months - our toddler throws kicking fits at PJ time every night, and the tantrums are cut down considerably with two piece PJs.

I can't even think about getting her in zip-up one pieces anymore.

I found a smokin deal on Old Navy 2 pieces and know I can get HA zippers on sale around Christmas. I'm trying to not buy too far ahead but it's hard to resist a good deal.

Did you transition after potty training? Does anyone have a babe that prefers one or the other strongly?
