We knew the boy name pretty early on, I would say around 12 weeks or so. We couldn't think of a girl name for a very long time! This made us both believe that we were having a boy. But one night, around 25 weeks or so, we went to see Cinderella (the new film) and we both knew instantly after the movie that our girls name would be Ella. That changed my mind and made me think it was a girl! We decided early on on a girl name we both loved, never decided on a boy name. We had two front runners but didn't love either. Luckily she was a girl. We still took a couple of hours to make sure it suited her before announcing. (And t does suit her perfectly!)</p> <p>DD2 we found out she was a girl at 20 weeks and hardly discussed names before that. After we found out we talked and talked and talked and had a front runner but weren't in love with it. At 39 weeks we went back to an early favorite and had those two on our list. DH suggested a middle name for the early favorite on the way to the hospital. Took about ten hours after she was born to decide! I made a list throughout the pregnancy of names I liked (probably about 7 by the end) and then read them off to him for approval/veto. We had that one discussion and picked her first name and narrowed down to 2 middle names. The morning after she was born we picked which middle fit better. For dd1 we had five first names going into the hospital. Decided almost immediately. Wasn't either of our favorites but just looked like her. Middle name took another 24 hours.</p> <p>This time we don't even have a short list. I'm 38 weeks. We can't agree on anything and my husband is ready to just have her and hope it comes to us. Risky. Actually before we were even engaged! So we never talked about names too much and then we found out at 19 weeks it was a boy and that was that. Took a bit longer for a middle but not long </p> <p>This time we have a boy name that's the front runner that I suggested before I was pregnant. Another family name. Middle name is up in the air for sure and the first name isn't 100%. </p> <p>Girl name- no idea!! Middle name I want my sisters name but not sure how DH feels about it. We find out next week what we are having! </p>
