It was so fun, kind of like the group on Friends or HIMYM or something--we'd do happy hours, dinners/grilling, brunch, played bocce ball or kickball, etc etc. Plus things were going great with dh (we'd been together about a year at that point) and I had a job that was really interesting. We had been living together for a year at that point so all the kinks of moving in together had been worked out, we suddenly weren't stressed/broke all the time from the wedding planning. My husband had not yet started night school. We just…. hung out. And our honeymoon, yes it was only a week, but this is my fondest memory. I grew up in the middle of nowhere and loved it. Our group of friends was very close and we got into a lot of trouble. It was just a very carefree, fun time in my life. I miss when my biggest concern was what I was going to wear and how I was going to get the type of vodka I wanted for a bonfire.
