Its a little later than most but it was fine, particularly because I wasn't really counting on the stuff from the shower for our big ticket items, so I had already done most of the nesting. I assume your friend will probably get a fair amount of stuff for Christmas too, so I think it wouldn't be a big deal when it happened.
