It's a transvaginal ultrasound and depending on where you are might not show much. With this pregnancy (#2) I was 10 weeks for this appointment and surpirsed at how much we could see. With my first it was at 6 weeks and it really was just a sac. I think it's common practice in my area to not have many ultrasounds. My OB just took what I said as gold as far as my LMP and I told him I o'ed three days earlier and was a little ahead. I guess that was my "dating ultrasound. " :wink: @Anya: My OB said that he didn't consider someone at risk until they had three consecutive loses. Ended up getting another one at 6w6d because the on-call doctor ordered it (not sure why but all is well) and I'll still have the regular 8/12/20 as far as I know.
