With this one i didnt hear it till 11 week. It took forever to find. She liked to hide when she was smaller. At my 2nd appointment they couldn't find her on the doppler so they did a quick ultrasound and she was there and healthy. I asked her to try anyway and promised not to freak out if she didn't find it. It took her quite a while but she did find it. She said 11+ weeks is more reliable but sometimes it's hard even after 12 weeks since they're tucked so low in the pelvis. No ultrasound until next week I assume, since I'm seeing an independent midwife and will have to go elsewhere for an ultrasound, but I'm wondering at what appointment did your OB/midwife start listening for a heartbeat? I don't remember this but do know I had my first ultrasound at my first appointment last time.
