However, both of us inspect car seat installations as part of our jobs, so we were confident we could leave it to the last minute. We have an infant car seat with a base. The base is still in the car, but I plan to remove it for my ride to the hospital. It can go into trunk and be re-installed. This is because I plan to ride in the back of the car without a seat belt when I'm in labor so that I can more around more freely and find the best position for me. The car seat base will make that more difficult.
