My nipples were put on nursing rest by LO's 8th day that's when he started getting bottles. He never had any trouble going between bottles and BF.

Well I introduced bottles to my DD at about 4 weeks. She took very well.
Tried the same with DS about the same time. He fought. Now 10 mos old and still refuses a bottle. /:

My 2 month old will take a bottle, but for whatever reason he stays really unsettled after. The last time I did this he decided to cluster feed the next few hours.

We introduced at 4 weeks. LO drank that bottle just fine... then we battled for the next three months. It took three nine hour days without me to get her to even take a sip again. For LO2 I plan to start earlier.

I think around 3 weeks. Then we did a small bottle every other day after that to make sure he stayed used to it. I have friends who introduced the bottle, then stopped for a couple weeks, and the baby never took a bottle after that.

LO1 got some formula at the hospital and have had a bottle everyday until we took him off bottles at 1. Introducing to LO2 now at 8 months (I SAH now) and oh god don't be like me, so many tears.

We did in the first couple days on the advice of the hospital lactation consultant. I just couldn't keep up with her and it gave me a little break because oh goodness was I ever sore in those early times!

We never had any confusion, as long as there was food she was happy ha ha!

About 3.5 weeks I think. And she probably got 1 bottle a day for a while, occasionally more or less depending on our schedule. I went back to work full-time at 11 weeks and so far (now 20 weeks) she has had no problems with the bottle all day and nursing in the mornings/evenings.

E took some bottles in NICU, since then no bottles. He flat refuses them now. He is 9 months. Part of me wishes he would take one every now and then. I miss sleep, he won't even take a sippy cup either.

One bottle of pumped milk every day from day 3. Still doing this at 8 months old. We do the bedtime bottle. That way DH is a bed time routine pro and I'm not needed for it!

ETA: my philosophy is that if he was nursing 12 times a day, one bottle a day wasn't going to confuse him :)
