It took her a couple of weeks but now she drinks from it like a pro. She goes NUTS when i put the cup in front of her! The straw cup is also good because it works the same muscles needed to chew on food.</p> <p>@winniebee: i would still give it to him for him to play with. She does better with the straw cup because it doesn't have to be tilted. It's just another skill to learn. I think you could introduce the sippy without him having that skill. She doesn't really get much, but the water intake isn't as important as learning how to manipulate the cup at this point. We've tried a Tommee Tippee, Munchkin, and some kind of straw cup (can't remember which). I don't really know anyone who really throws their take and toss cups away unless something happens to them.
