we introduced a potty seat around her 1st birthday because she was refusing to poop in her diaper. ever since we put her on the potty seat twice a day and she knows what to do, she still pees in her diaper sometimes though and she is 19months old. Not really sure how to proceed at this point

We started introducing the concept of the potty around 18 months...she even went in it a few times I think bc I just happened to time it correctly. She would watch us go on the potty and clap for is and say "yay" whenever she would hear a toilet flush...hysterical in a public restroom when she cheers for a stranger.

She's 24 months and we just finished the 3 day bottomless potty method (and thanks so much to @chopsuey for all her tips/advice)...we started the weekend of Veterans Day and she's potty trained now. She needs a lot of reminders when we are out in public and we keep her bottomless at home but she goes pee/poo in the potty. She is in a diaper for naps and bedtime but wakes from naps dry 90% of the time

I say keep it fun early on so they become familiar with the potty and understand what it is for but don't push it :)

We bought one a month or so ago. He has little interest in it yet, except to close the lid and use it as a step stool (D brought it home, I wish he'd gotten something a little more toilet-looking).

LO is about to be 15 months old, so she isn't quite ready to be potty trained yet. However, I am curious when others started to introduce the potty. Whether it be, just bringing in a potty seat so LO could get used seeing it around, or putting LO on the potty for fun. I am just trying to prepare since I know it won't be long before we need to start really thinking about this!
