Thank you all again for your responses!

@Mrs. Bee: That is so cute that your kiddos use the sleep sacks as a security blanket!

@artbee: Scary! That is just one of the many reasons a sleep sack comes in handy :)

charlie and olive around 4 months. charlie wore sleep sacks until a couple months ago (he's 2 1/2) when he said he wanted a regular blanket and pillow. but if we put him in a short sleeve instead of his usual long sleeve onesie at bedtime, sometimes he asks for his sleep sack. it's a bit of a lovey/security blanket for him.

olive likes to chomp on hers and i definitely think she sleeps better with it than without.

We just did at 10 months. She went from swaddle to footie pjs. But when she learned to kick her legs out of the crib and kept getting stuck, it was time for a sleep sack.

Thank you for your responses everyone! It started out shaky, but after his feeding, he fell asleep around 2 and is still asleep (It's almost 8). Now I'm going back and forth on how long I should let him sleep, though I'm leaning towards waking him up to feed.

Do you mean just a sleep sack, no swaddle? We stopped swaddling around 4 months so then we went to a regular sleep sack.

I didn't put LO in a sleep sack until she was a lot older.. I wanna say sometime around 7-8 months? Now that's it's warmer, I just have her sleep in a tshirt and long pants or long sleeved shirt and pants.

When did you all introduce the sleep sack to your LO's? I decided to introduce it today to our 5 week old son after he kept breaking out of his swaddle. It was initially the only type of swaddle that he wouldn't break out of, but that did not last long at all! I never thought I would be introducing it so soon, and I pray it doesn't take him long to get used to it!
