I didn't even know anyone who couldn't swim until I was in my 20's. I think most people learn pretty young in Florida. I took it in college and basically learned how not to drown so I could snorkle,ect, but last year at 30 I REALLY learned. I had to because was pregnant and I didn't want her not being able to be around water because she can't swim. That sucks big time, trust me. It was at this mean woman's house and I was scared to jump off her diving board (which to me seemed 50 feet in the air), so she pushed me! It was traumatic but I did end up liking swimming. I grew up at the beach and around pools, but I had major surgeries, including a colostomy, from ages 5-7. I also didn't learn how to ride a bike until 8 either. My sister is 3 years younger, but we learned these things at the same time which was kinda fun. </p>
