But I learned in college from a major swim guru and went on to get my lifeguard license along with a bunch of hard core swimmers on a marine base. They couldn't believe I had just learned to swim a few years before. I'm sure my mom was supervising, although I don't remember that. He basically just taught me enough to stay afloat and get from point A to point B.
