Mine was around that age, too. Once he started sleeping on his belly he actually started sleeping better, so I didn't try to stop him from doing it.

When we sleep trained and took away the swaddle at 6 months my son started to sleep on his side or tummy. As long as you are putting your baby down on his back, it is okay if they roll to their tummy.

Yep! Sounds about right. LO started sleeping on her tummy when she learned how to flip over from back to tummy :)

My LO started around 3.5 months, a day or two after he started rolling. We would put him down in his crib, and he would immediately roll on his tummy no matter how hard we tried to flip him on his back. It was a struggle because we were worried parents, and he was just a frustrated baby who wanted to sleep peacefully on his tummy. Adjusting was difficult, but we came to realize that he would be okay. If he was uncomfortable, he could lift his head or roll back on his back. Of course that didn't stop me from checking up on him every 15 minutes or so.

Ours is also 4 months and rolls over. I agree with Artbee that if they can roll onto their tummy there isn't much you can do to stop them.

My LO probably started at 4 1/2 months. But I think she just goes on her tummy in the morning when she wakes up because we can hear her moving around and then we go in and she's on her tummy.

Everyone says that if they can turn onto their tummy then they're fine, they're strong enough to move their head and themselves if they need to. I still freak out anyway, and find myself checking on her in the middle of the night. If she's on her tummy I'll flip her back over, but that's rare.

My LO is just about 4 months and this morning I woke up to find her sleeping on her tummy. (she just started rolling over this past week) This makes me worried.... Is there anything I can do to keep her on her back? When did you LO start sleeping on their tummy?
