@cake2017: I know you weren’t asking me, but our 4mo regression lasted in total maybe 2.5 weeks with the truly hellish part being 7-10 days.
Just as quickly as it started, it also ended without us doing much.

@LulaBee: We use the Snuza and love it! It went off one night and when I shook her chest she took a huge gasp of air. Not sure if she had stopped breathing or if it was weird newborn sleep but I'm glad we'll never have to know!

He started in a bassinet in our room. At around 4 weeks he was getting super loud in the mornings, so we would move him into this crib in his room for his last stretch of sleep. But he got over that within a few weeks. When he started rolling over, we moved him to his crib, full time, but we started sleeping in the nursery (there's a queen bed in there). That's what we're still doing at 5.5 months. After six months I think we'll talk about moving back to our own room.

I think it was around 8 weeks with DS1 but I can't remember exactly. DS two is 8 1/2 weeks and still sleeping in our room. He's doing pretty well right now and I'm not sure if I want to rock the boat by putting him in his crib. I'm experimenting this week with naps in his crib, so we will see how that goes.

Still in our room at almost 4 months. We moved our first by this point but she was a loud sleeper. This baby is silent and so still, it freaks me out! So we plan to keep her in our room for a while. Not putting any definite time span on it.

@wrkbrk: we haven't gotten too much crap for it because as @deerylou: said, it's been really conducive to sleep for all of us! Plus it's made LO a really flexible sleeper on trips, in hotel rooms, different situations, etc.

We'll be moving her between now (6 months) and 8 months. Her room is cold so were waiting until it warms up a bit to move her in there. Even after we move her, she'll still spend 1 or 2 nights a week in a pack n play in our room. We spend about 10 weekends or more in our camper over the summer and don't want it to be strange for her to be close to us (or to sleep in the PnP).

@MoonMoon: Hah, DD is 2.5 and still mostly in our bed. She starts the night out in her room but migrates/sleepwalks on over. I don't really mind. She's used to cosleeping and I appreciate the snuggles, but people are always shocked that we allow it. Mama likes sleep too much to fight the good fight.

From day 1, there was no way I could sleep if we were in the same room! That being said LO's bedroom is right next to ours and we had a video monitor as extra assurance we would hear anything. We all sleep better this way!

I love seeing all the variety of responses, everyone finds their own way and does what works for them.

3 weeks and it was a great decision for us. He slept better, I slept better. Win win.
I also think that it's too early for them to realize where they are so it avoids a harder transition when they are more aware. But I understand why people wait! It is scary at first!

6 months. Largely because of the AAP guidelines but I just didn't want that far away before then either. Her bedroom is on a separate floor and she just seemed too little to be so far away and alone before that. (Plus I didn't want to climb stairs multiple times/night).

We moved DD out of our room around 11-12 weeks as she started lifting both legs up and slamming them down while sleeping. My husband and I could not sleep through it. Her nursery is right next to us and in addition to a video monitor we sleep with the doors open. And I have a breathing monitor she wears on her diaper which sounds an alarm if she stops which is the only way I sleep soundly!

33 months and still in our room! (Though in his own bed) We bed shared and nursed on demand until almost 2 years old, but these nights he falls asleep without nursing and stays asleep all night. We all just feel more comfortable with him close, and our house is really drafty so he stays warmer in our room.
