We thought, why delay the inevitable? She hadn't tried to climb out but we didn't want to buy a second crib for DS and didn't want there to be any feelings of him stealing her bed. At this point she sleeps REALLY well, and doesn't try to climb out. He's a crazy little sleeper and moves all over the place, so I worry that he will continue to hit his head on the side of his wooden bed. I already cover as much of it with rolled up blankets and pillows. He didn't go back to sleep, he ended up staying up until 5:30. Poor dh. I'm also waiting till he climbs out - we considered moving him out in anticipation of the new baby (now 4 mos old) but he sleeps so well and seems so comfortable and safe in his crib we are putting it off until we have to. She had never tried to climb out or anything but we wanted to transition her sooner rather than later. He's never shown any interest in even trying, so I'm hoping that it will be a while yet!
