Around 10 months we got rid of the tray since it was bothering him. He is much more cooperative sitting in his booster pushed up against the table. We keep the BRU one strapped to a plastic patio chair for use outside and the molded one is used inside. The molded one doesn't have any safety straps but we have really wide chairs so it doesn't move around. DD loves them both. DD loves being able to get in and out of the seat herself now that she can.
