But in reality, they become much more aware before you think they do.</p> <p>I think using the bathroom is totally different! Whenever either DS or I feel uncomfortable we'll stop. We're pretty comfortable with nudity so I imagine it will be later rather than sooner.</p> <p>Eta: DD started becoming aware and asking about body parts around 18 months. We were just very matter of fact, told the proper names for thing, and she moved on within a couple months. I just voted for DH in regards to our daughter. She has pointed to our "privates" (his and mine) a few times. But I dont' think until the age 3-4 they really get it. We will just say, yes Daddy is a boy so he looks different end of story.
