By 12 weeks, I couldn't button/zip any of my pants anymore. By about 20 or so weeks, my old jeans were all wayy too tight in the butt/thighs so I've been in exclusively maternity pants/jeans since then. Now at 31 weeks even one of my old pairs of yoga pants is snug! >.< As for shirts, they are all too short now except for 1 or two that were really long to begin with.

I can't fit into my regular pants anymore. I've been in both until recently. Some of my old maternity fits now and some new ones are a little big, but I'll grow into them. Get some maternity pants you will feel so much more comfortable.

I was in maternity jeans from about 14w because they were just comfy around the bloat and soreness of my belly.
I still fit my sweats, pajamas, maxi dresses, and tunics all throughout my pregnancy.
I stopped fitting my normal shirts around 20-24w?
I always fit my camis and most my underwear.
I still decided to get some pieces of maternity (essentials) along with the jeans because they were just more comfortable than my regular clothing.

I didn't even wait until things were too tight. Once I got uncomfortable (at around 12 weeks), I bought maternity pants, and have lived in them ever since. So comfortable.

Blimey, I was in mat jeans by 8 weeks! By 14 weeks I looked about 6 months pregnant! No word of a lie! In fact, I haven't got much bigger than that and now I am 6 months- I think everyone goes differently. Get some maternity pants, you won't look back!

I'm 15 weeks and I just popped this week. Down to one pair of jeans that I can still get into but I have been using a hair elastic to hold my pants closed for several weeks. Tomorrow I'll be 16 weeks and I'm going shopping for my first pair of maternity pants.

I started wearing maternity pants around 11 weeks or so. Way more comfortable than messing with regular pants! I can still fit in longer dresses and tops that are non maternity... But I can't fit in my non maternity pants now if my life depended on it. I've gone up at least two pant sizes because of my hips. I'm 28 weeks.

Oh man I jumped into mat pants by week 12 and before that was using the hair band trick. I was so glad I made the switch! I also figured since I was spending money on new clothes I might as well get some wear out of them. My only regret is that I purchased too much at the beginning. I don't see how everything is going to still fit me in the summer when I'm 8-9 months pregnant!

Oh gosh, get some maternity pants! I got mine at 11 weeks or so and they smooth everything out so much nicer. I got T-shirts around 16 weeks, but I would have gotten them earlier, if I'd known how nice and long they were. I swear, I'm buying them from now on, even when not preggo! The only thing I'm still holding out on (at 21 weeks) are some of the more obvious maternity tops. They mostly just look like rediculous sacks on me because the bump isn't big enough yet.

Agree -- get some maternity pants. Within a few weeks they'll be essential, so you may as well enjoy the comfort now!

A close friend of mine passed down all of her gently used maternity clothes once I told her I was pregnant. The moment I tired on maternity jeans, I was like, "Eff this, I'm living in these, now".

I started mixing maternity bottoms into my every day clothing from about 12 weeks onward (I couldn't resist - they were so confy!), and had to retire all my old jeans by the time I was 18 weeks - I just wasn't comfortable anymore, even with a belly band or hair elastic.

I still wear some of my pre-preg dresses and flowy tops, but, at 28 weeks, my wardrobe is almost exclusively maternity.

I'm 17+3 and still in that inbetween stage... my regular jeans bunch my tummy up too much and maternity jeans don't stay up over the bump! Leggings and long t-shirts are my staples at the moment.

It was the best thing ever - maternity pants are SO comfy and turn it into a cute bump rather than flab. I love them!

I'm about to be 14 weeks, and all my pants are a variation of too tight. I'm overweight to begin with (size 14) and I gain weight very easily, especially in my stomach, so I am trying to figure out if I am just getting fat, or if I am starting to show! I do feel a little knot in my lower stomach where my uterus is beginning to push out, but I'm not sure it's large enough to warrant maternity clothes yet!
