I ended up being 12 days overdue, though, &amp; had to keep pulling stuff out that I needed &amp; then had to make sure my toiletries &amp; that sort of thing were packed after my labour actually began. My OB had me go to the hospital immediately for a NST. It turned out that I was having regular contractions, and I was kept overnight for monitoring. DH and I really wished we had packed our bags ahead of time - that hospital stay would have been much more comfortable with our stuff. Next time around, I plan to pack our bags earlier. I have quite the stash of travel-sized items, so I pulled some of those out. Then went to Target yesterday and bought razors, breathmints and chapstick to add to the pile.
