We're not nap/night training but it has been sooo easy. He has only had 1 sort of accident but finished on the potty. He's pooped twice and we have been out to the library and peed there. He was beyond ready. He was dry at night months before that so we knew he was physically ready, but not emotionally ready. As for pooping, that took a lot longer. He *just* now, at 3yr 4mos is going poop on the potty regularly. It was so hard! We did Oh Crap Potty Training and I loved the method but the author warns against waiting until 3 to potty train. He was almost 14 months. We started by putting him on the potty every time we changed his diaper. We would have him sit on there for about 5 minutes and read books (DH tend to sit with him longer). He wanted to and I say he basically trained himself. The only problem was that he was a late talker so he would have accidents if he was being watched by someone else.<br /> DS2 is 19 months and almost seems ready. He loves to pee on the toilet and a couple times has asked to poop. After a couple months he was completely day trained. He wakes up dry 75% of the time but we still do pull ups at night. We didn't use a method. I think it took longer because our daycare would not let him be in underwear. She was trained within a couple days for pee, within a week for poop at home. But she did not do well at preschool for a couple months! Pee was successful right away but she saved poop for nap/night diapers for several months. She peed in night diapers for about 6 months after being day trained.</p> <p>28 months for LO 2. We decided to start the process when we had a newborn and it took LO 2 about 3-4 weeks to truly click for pee. Poop was ok from day 1 and she always wakes up dry overnight. Do you wish you would have done it sooner or waited longer?</p> <p>With LO1 we potty trained at 2 years and 4 months old and it was pretty easy with the 3 day method, but she was ready. There were some challenges but we made it through and she day/night trained at the same time. LO2 isn't quite 2 yet and I know she could probably understand the concept since she tells us she pooped, or has to, and asks to be changed but I think she is still a bit young. My mom thinks she can do it but I don't want to push too soon, so I think I'll wait until the spring. </p>
