We have really steep stairs so I have a gate at the top and bottom. We had a gate on his bedroom door but recently took it off and he's doing well staying in his bed at bed time. He is now 27 months. I think I could get away with removing the one at the bottom of the stairs. I'm just concerned with the one at the top. More so if he gets up at night and it's dark and he's half asleep. Our room is downstairs so if he woke up he'd either come to our room or down the hall to his playroom. </p>
