It was past time. She loved turned it on and off, and watching the projection/listening to the music. We took it down the day she pulled off one of the hanging stuffed animals.</p> <p>We replaced it with a Fisher Price aquarium I found at a consignment shop and it has been AMAZING this week. I read that it was better to have minimal sleep associations (and I thought that would be better for travel and sleeping in other places) and things that were I guess distracting. She probably would be pulling at it now though if it was still in there and she's 8 months old. Easier to get the mattress in andnout without it! I know you are supposed to remove it by the time they start standing but she couldn't reach it while standing so we kept it in. Just curious when and why other people removed their mobiles. </p>
