My BFF didn't have an LMP to date her period - had to use her IUD removal date! So if you take it out in advance be prepared that you could get pregnant that cycle! Im planning on getting mine out 2 mo prior to when we'll really TTC but am fully prepared for possible pregnancy the first month. I got it out late Feb 15 and got a positive hpt 6 weeks later (first real cycle!). I know fertility resumes almost immediately, but it also took us a while to get pregnant so I'm not sure if I should remove it 3-6 months prior to actively ttc knowing we would be happy if it happened sooner! </p>
