Thank you cards are very important to me so I prioritized getting them done immediately, both because I personally find it annoying when I go weeks after something with no card and because I figured I might as well just get them off my plate. It didn't take that long, you kind of fall into a sort of template with some personalizations, and I just did them while I watched tv. As much as I would love DH's help with that kind of thing, he's much better at stuffing the envelopes and putting stamps on them. I mailed all the thank you cards about a week or two after the shower. I had DH help me write out half of them to get them done faster. Everyone sent gifts and thank you notes were always in the mail within a week of receiving the gift. For my in town shower with co-workers and friends they were all sent within two weeks of the shower. I was working full time and had continued complications, but was still able to sent timely thank you notes. It's been a month since our shower. Though, I am on hospital bed rest since 28 weeks (2 weeks) after our shower. </p> <p>DH has been home scrambling to get the nursery somewhat prepared. I was in the process of cleaning out our spare bedroom (future guest room) so we could move the bed from former guest bedroom (future nursery) out... And that is when my water broke. </p> <p>I could have written out some by now but I wanted to do it together while DH is here to visit me.<br /> At this point, I'll work on some and give some to DH to do either here in the hospital or have him do it when he is home. </p> <p>I enabled multiple votes so you can vote based on different situations.</p> <p>Oh, my work shower, I sent a group email a few days after the shower. It was a group gift so a group email was the best way to include every one.<br /> Oh, if you received a gift before or after the shower, I gave options to vote that way, too. </p>
