We did both nap and night sleep training at 7.5 months, which was about a month ago. And I think I need to re-nap train again because I somehow started rocking her a little more and more before her naps. Don't know how it started, but will need to retrain soon. *sigh*

I do wish we started earlier, maybe LO wouldn't have cried as much as she did. We barely squeezed into the Bed Timing window for sleep training.

We didn't sleep train until 6.5 months. It did help with naps over time but not right away. We waited until we were ready to remove the swaddle at the same time.

We did at 3.5 months--worked GREAT for falling asleep quickly--but we were not able to night wean/train for night wakings. We are starting that now at 7+ months.

We're about to start at 5.5 months. She's like your LO. She's nursed to sleep and then in a pack n play part of the night and comes in bed with me the last couple of hours. Her sleep has gotten horrible though so I think it's time.

We'll probably sleep train around 18 months if P is still not sttn, but even then idk. I'm okay with still night nursing since I want to bf long term & know that it's good for maintaining my supply. Right now she wakes up 1x, gets into bed with us, and then wakes MAYBE 1 other time if she poops (she poops first thing in the morning so sometimes it's early at about 3 most of the time it's around 5-6).

She pretty much nap trained herself at about 7.5 months where I stopped having to soothe her and she falls asleep completely on her own about 90% of the time.... This is also when she weaned herself from her paci!

So far letting her lead has worked out really well.

ETA: I sleep trained my first at around 3 months.

We did a short round of sleep training at 4.5 months (to stave off bad habits from the 4 month sleep regression), got off-track due to a combination of illness, teething, and travelling, and then re-trained with a better bedtime routine at 6.5 months. LO is now 8 months and goes down easily at bedtime and after any night feeds. I'm glad we didn't wait much longer because she is now crawling, cruising, and much more vocal.

Unfortunately we didn't see much or any improvement to her naps, but I was counting on it to just happen on it's own. Since LO is in daycare, we didn't do any official nap training.

LO is just about 5 months and DH talked about it last night over dinner. We're thinking it's getting to be time--we might put it off until 6 months though. DS currently sleeps in a PnP in our room half the night and in bed with us the other half. He still needs to be nursed to sleep, and we'd like to put him in his own crib soon.

How old was your LO when you sleep trained? Do you wish you'd done it earlier/later? If you sleep trained did their naps improve or vice versa?
