Our LO is 6months and has been eating every 3 hours since around 1 month old (he still eats every 3 hours)... The difference is that as he got older he would drop the late night and early morning feeds one by one as he slept through the night longer and longer. Right now he is at 5 feeds a day, and sleeps about 12.5 hours with no wake ups.
Sounds like you are doing a good job! I would keep feeding your LO every 3 hours and let him drop the 4 am one when he is ready and then hopfully the 6 am or 9 pm one eventually when he is older:) yay sleep!

I agree. I always fed on demand. I think when they are hungry, they are hungry. I did sometimes try to space it out a bit when I felt like he'd gotten in the habit of snaking, so was eating like every hour or so.
He's now 9 months (today!) and is just gone down to 3 feeds in 24 hours (AM, mid-afternoon, & before bed). So don't worry that he'll never drop feeds. Linus used to eat ALL. THE. TIME. and sometimes I felt like that would never change. :)

He sounds like he is doing awesome!

I fed on demand too and my LO ate every 2-3 hours at that age. At 4 months when he was on 3 naps I fed him at wake up, after each nap and before bed (6 feeds) and once overnight. When we dropped the nightfeed and then went to 2 naps we went to 4 feeds.

We always focused more on a sleeping schedule rather than a feeding schedule.

I have always fed my son on demand He's 6 months and still eats every 3 hours, though sometimes 4 if he has solids in between. He sleeps a 7-10 hour stretch every night so I know just because he eats frequently during the day doesn't mean he won't sleep long at night.

LO is 13 weeks and has been eating every 3 hours, 6a/9a/12p/3p/6p/9p and then sleeping around until 4am at night. I am wondering if I should start spacing out his feedings longer and adjust his schedule
