The difference is that as he got older he would drop the late night and early morning feeds one by one as he slept through the night longer and longer. Right now he is at 5 feeds a day, and sleeps about 12.5 hours with no wake ups.<br /> Sounds like you are doing a good job! I always fed on demand. I think when they are hungry, they are hungry. I did sometimes try to space it out a bit when I felt like he'd gotten in the habit of snaking, so was eating like every hour or so.<br /> He's now 9 months (today!) and is just gone down to 3 feeds in 24 hours (AM, mid-afternoon, &amp; before bed). So don't worry that he'll never drop feeds. Linus used to eat ALL. THE. At 4 months when he was on 3 naps I fed him at wake up, after each nap and before bed (6 feeds) and once overnight. I am wondering if I should start spacing out his feedings longer and adjust his schedule </p>
