I was never allowed to go to the mall with just my friends till I was much older, but my mom would let me pick out my own clothes and she would buy them. I mean, as long as they weren't "trashy" or "revealing", lol.</p> <p>There were many Christmases that I just requested cash to go shopping with and I would get it!
