However, she should be moving over to preschool right before so I hope to only keep it to a few friends that she has known for years now. It was what all of the cool kids were doing (we received 2 invitations within a week of each other). It was a last minute decision, and I'm glad that we did. The kids had a blast, and we kept it simple with a party at home. I feel like it's too young/early myself. He hasn't been invited to any parties yet, other than kids of friends of ours, so we haven't felt like we need to reciprocate. Maybe this fall when he's in the preschool classroom it'll be more of a thing. But for 2 we just did a dinner with our families and 1 set of friends and their 2 kids. Very low key. It was our second year at the school and we felt more comfortable/ knew the parents and the children well enough to invite them into our home. She has been at day care with the same kids since she was 15 weeks old and she loves her friends.
