I started around 6 weeks, she loved her activity mat and hitting the hanging toys. Every night we play tickle monster and she loves it when I get her cheeks when she's laying down on a blanket. She is also starting to find tummy raspberries hillarous and laughs a big belly laugh when I do that. I could listen to that sound all day!

11-12 weeks he became really intrigued by the play may and swatting at toys, he didnt mind tummy time if I did it with him, or if he laid on my chest to do it. But it was only about 10-20 mins of play before moving onto something else.

Once she started laughing at things I did that were supposed to be fun. Probably around 3 months? 4 months? Now she can reach for things so playing is really getting fun (5.5 months).

I think it was 3 months before I really felt like we were playing and fully interacting. Now at 7 months he's a blast to play with.

That's about all you can do with them at that age. You're LOs fav toy! My LO just loves to watch me talk and sing to him.

I started showing him rattles, stuffed animals, and other toys around 6 weeks. He couldn't grab anything at that point but I could tell he was trying to figure everything out and was really excited to see colorful toys. Other than that we did a lot of time on the activity mat and if it was nice out, I would lay a blanket outside so he could feel the breeze and look up at the trees.

Our son is 7 weeks old today and while we spend a lot of time talking to him, exploring while we're out and about, and hanging out/interacting on his activity mat, I am not sure if we're "playing" as much as we should be now.

When did you start playing more and what kinds of activities did you like early on?

(Ughhhh just realized this is miscategorized!!!! So sorry)
