We didn't buy anything until after 24 weeks, and I wanted everything done by 34 weeks just in case. If you have the space and time for the stuff to be done, do it! My shower wasn't until I was 35 weeks, I was due the end of February so the holidays threw everything off... normally I think they would have planned for 30 weeks - but I was 30 weeks on Christmas! Anyhow - so we didn't have ANYTHING until I was 35 weeks and then I had to spend those last three weeks washing his laundry, putting everything away, setting things up etc and I was SO exhausted, SO uncomfortable and in SO much pain. DH was SO busy with work trying to get everything prepped and ready for his leave that he didn't have extra time to help me. I so wish I had my shower earlier because it was torture and not enjoyable AT ALL. Everything else we waited till around 38 weeks because we knew it would take up a lot of room. Stroller we didn't put together until LO was 2 weeks since we didn't go out much the first couple weeks. The bigger you get, the less, ummm, agile you might become (I am so much clumsier now than I was before), so tackle those projects now so that you can relax and cruise through the end of your pregnancy. I had pretty much everything set up by week 32 or so, but DH and I just put a huge tree/bird/owl decal up in the nursery this weekend (I will be 38 weeks on Thursday), and I was exhausted when we were finished. DH got a little sick of me shoving my iPad in his face with pictures of cribs and linens and change tables, which went on for at least an hour! I would think it is a good idea to set you earlier rather than later. Then it's done and you won't have to think about it closer to your due date. LOL We'll be 28 weeks this wknd! :P Perhaps premature? But, looking at the TO DO list, I'm kind of glad he's got it done! (forgot to mention that all of our nursery furniture is setup, we're just waiting on the glider/ottoman!) What about you?
