The AAP recommendation is 6 months, but I've read that most babies don't show all signs of readiness until 6-8 mths. I knew I was right, but had to go home and double check myself. I was surprised bc I thought 6 months was when we'd discuss it. I'm kind of excited to hear what he says and start feeding DS solids. I'm hoping solids will keep DS fuller so he'll sleep better. I was shocked! He said that the recommendation is likely to change soon - that they're more and more telling parents 4-6 months instead of just 6+.</p> <p>When did you start?
