Three weeks later she loves it. We are doing one meal a day, and I imagine a teaspoon serving actually ending up in her belly at max. I was just surprised our ped brought it up at this visit! I wasn't expecting it then kind of felt guilty because I was planning to wait? We actually started on her 6-month birthday with oat cereal, then avocado mashed with breastmilk, and now we're onto puréed carrots (a huge hit). She was eating dinner "with" us nightly by 5.5 months, at 2 meals a day by 7 &amp; now at 9 months I have discovered that 3 meals a day plus an afternoon snack totally cuts out almost all NOT feedings. I remember stressing every time he didn't want to eat, but then a week later he would be eating everything in sight, then back down again the week after! We watched for signs of interest- and then at 4.5 months we let her try a little of DH's applesauce (all natural, no sugar added, etc- ped OK'd it) so we wouldn't buy a whole bunch and not use it. She ended up loving it. He liked it, but preferred it thicker than runny. We started giving him purees at 6 months since he didn't seem interested in our food. He wasn't into solid food until about 7/8 months? Once he got a taste of solid food, purees went out the window. </p>
