With DS1, I didn't swell (except for after coming home from my csec and the swelling from the fluids).

This time, my hands are a bit swollen (at 28 weeks), but that's it so far. I'm sure once it's hot out and I'm outdoors more often it's not going to be pretty.

@mrscobee: working out *did* always help my swelling for some reason--it's like my body sweated out the fluid. I would put on good thick sock and athletic shoes and work out till I was sweating a lot--and as soon as I took off my shoes, I could see the veins in my feet again!

@mrscobee: Maybe you'll get lucky and not have any at all! I never swelled even the tiniest bit with either of my pregnancies. I kept waiting for cankles or for my wedding rings to get tight, but nope, never happened. :-)

With my first, I had horrible swelling that started around 24-26 weeks, I think?

I am 37w pregnant with my second, and so far, I've had minimal swelling for the past two weeks. Nothing in comparison to last time, thank goodness!!!!!

So my swelling has reduced drastically. It must have been the flight, or maybe last nights workout helped? Hoping it doesn't come back too soon but sounds like it's different for everyone!

With my first, literally within the first few weeks and it got worse and worse. This time, I'm starting now at 31 weeks. I think for me it has a lot to do with the hot weather.

8 weeks! My midwife put me on bedrest because it was so bad so early. Elevating doesn't help. I try to drink as much water as I can, and wear compression socks at home. I'm a little over 36 weeks now.

Around 36 weeks, and it came on fast and intense. They monitored me pretty closely because I started gaining 5lbs a week. But no other signs of preeclampsia at all, so it was just uncomfortable.

With my first, barely any at about 38 weeks. With my second, I started getting bloated at 8 weeks and have had to do a lot to fight it. Each placenta just handles things really differently.

I first started swelling at 24 weeks, the day after a flight was the first time! Since then my feet tend to swell more often after a long day and especially with the heat. The left one more than the right most days. I am flying again this weekend and will be buying some compression socks.

At 18 weeks I started swelling after work only, I did a lot of walking. As of 30 weeks I was swollen all the time and it got even worse after work.

I did fly at 17 and 18 weeks also (3 hours each way)

I mentioned it to my doctor but he wasn't concerned at all since it was "normal"

Maybe 30 weeks? Elevating doesn't help. My OB said the same and that it's from sitting. Compression socks are the only thing that seems to help. Given how much I walk, I wear them with sneakers a lot of the time.

@mrscobee: it'd just the flying. When I'm pregnant and fly, my feet and ankles get huge. Then return to normal after 3-4 days.

Everyone talks about swelling with pregnancy... Did you experience this? If so, at what point?

I am 23.5 weeks, and my feet, ankles, and I think legs are pretty swollen. No worrisome symptoms anywhere else, so I am not thinking there is something seriously wrong, but it has come on pretty suddenly. I did fly yesterday... Maybe that had something to do with it? Is there any way to make it go down, or will it only get worse from here?
