We didn't start time out till he was past 3 if I had to guess a month 38 months maybe. Though he is a pretty good kid. IDK if it was a coincidence, but his hitting phase was really short. And now at almost 2.5 we do them for more things because he can understand better now, but we rarely need them. She definitely understood what it meant because now if we say timeout it will be instant bad behavior stop. I was shocked because I feel like she would not understand that at all. I mostly do redirection at this point and she does understand the word "no" even though she usually laughs at me. When did you start using timeouts? </p>
