I think that I look my age, but other people sometimes think that I look younger. They are not looking at me close-up in the mirror under bright light or examining my gray hairs. I am getting carded less and less but I am 42, so I guess that's about right. With a toddler, I have stopped doing a lot of maintenance that I just don't have much time for. (I cannot sit in a salon for two hours ever other month to cover my grays...I just can't!) I'm sure that is making me look older. </p> <p>DH always thinks he looks so old (he's 43), saying that people probably think DS is his grandson. He's being ridiculous. DH is super youthful and has a full head of hair with some salt and pepper in his beard. That's it. He just has it in his head that he's so much older-looking.</p> <p>We were having this exact conversation (how old we look or don't) at the grocery store recently so DH asked the cashier how old we looked. After much thinking, the cashier said that we both looked 32-33... So what she was trying to say, after incorrectly thinking I was the parent of a middle schooler, was that they're happy to have new parents at the meeting with older kids...except I'm not, haha.
