DD started to set her own consistent bedtime around 9 weeks. It was initially between 7:30 and 8, and she's now moved it back to about 7. She's usually up around 7:30-7:45 with one MOTN wakeup at 3:30ish. We didn't work to get her on that schedule, though, she just did it herself. She usually goes down for her first nap about 90 minutes after she wakes up, but we don't really have a set schedule the rest of the day (at both daycare and home, we follow her cues for feeding and naps so she pretty much calls the shots). I liked the idea of EASY but it doesn't really work for her -- it's more like EAES(y) in our household.

At 4 weeks she started sleeping longer stretches so her "bedtime" was 11pm since that's when she'd give me her longest stretch. Each month or so she pushed her bedtime up an hour by giving tired cues and now at 6months has a 7pm bedtime

@Danizaur: every time we nurse-tummy time after, I put her in tbr swing as long as she can stand to stay awake. She's asleep probably at least 20 hours out of 24.

I think it was about 5 weeks with both my LOs. We were on an EASY schedule with feedings roughly 3 hours apart, unless feeding cues indicated we needed to go sooner/later. Starting at 7pm we do bathtime, lotion/PJs, nursing, prayers and bed (for my now 4 month old). I love having the predictability.

Hmm, from what I remember, bedtime wasn't really strict until... 3ish months? I went back to work at 7 weeks, and I know we were still letting her fall asleep on us while still downstairs (she'd fall asleep approx 9ish), and then we'd put her in her crib around 10 when we went to bed. I think her turning 3 months is what pushed me to make bedtime a real thing. I know from 12 weeks until 6 months she STTN (after that is a whole different story, but now I know it was my fault). At 12 weeks she was having 3 naps a day. I think it went down to 2 naps a day between 4 and 5 months. I started doing bedtime at 7 pm at 3 months so that she would get approx 12 hours of sleep (woke her up at 6:45 am if she wasn't already awake)

I never did any sort of bedtime routine besides her bottle and then snuggles and then bed. Only now at 14 months have I started a bedtime routine, and she's started STTN again.

@Danizaur: I'd b e careful scheduling feeds if you want to nurse long term- your supply will adjust to meet his needs and you're establishing it right now!

And I think a bedtime routine is awesome. I'm still trying to get my LO on a schedule at 15m though ;) (just kidding, sorta). We had a schedule around 5 months when his naps naturally consolidated. I made myself miserable prior to that trying to time it, change it, adjust it and I wish I'd just gone with the flow more because nothing I did mattered anyways!

Dd is on a loose schedule now. Feed by 8am, again at 10, noon, 3, 6, and big tank up feeding at 9 or 10. She has been sleeping really well until 2-3. Beginning to limit naps to no more than 2 hours not to interfere with nighttime sleep.

LO will be a month old on Friday (sob) and I have a little bit over a month left before I go back to work (sob sob). I've been playing it by ear this whole time...putting him to bed after he falls asleep after nursing, which could be anywhere from 7pm-10pm, just so we can go straight to bed with him and get the full 3 hour stretch before he needs to eat again.
I'm going to try and start a bedtime routine...bath (or wipe down), lotion, clean diaper and jammies, nursing while listening to lullabies, swaddle, and sleep. I did this the other night and I got 4 hours before he woke up again instead of 3! I enjoyed the time with him too. I just don't know when is a good time to put him to bed. 6pm? Id like to get back in the habit of getting up early. I sleep until 10am at least now because he does.

He wakes up about 3 times a night and I will be pumping when I go back to work and would like to start a pumping/bottle feeding routine so it's not a shock to him when he goes to the babysitters.

Include all your details!! I'm lost as to where to start.
