I haaaaaaate it. Hate hate hate. And he's not EBF anyways so *shrug*</p> <p>We still nurse 3-5 times a day when I get home until bedtime (he sttn, finally!) though....but I'm leaning towards being done more &amp; more each day.</p> <p>My plan is to offer from the source as long he wants to, fuck the pump, supplement as usual until 1 yr &amp; then switch to a cows milk alternative. At a year she was only nursing 2x a day (am and pm). She just really took to solids and ate plenty during the day and when I tried to offer her the boob she only latched for 10-15 seconds. From what friends have told me daytime nursing really reduces once baby works out that solids will give them the same feeling if fullness as milk does. Sometime in September I hope to drop another pumping session and then around her birthday I would love to stop pumping at work altogether and just do AM/PM/night feeds (if she still wakes at night at that point).<br /> I have about 75oz in my freezer stash and I am able to add another 2-4 ounces a day to it while I still pump so much. I stopped pumping 3 months ago (and giving him formula on the rare times he might need to be fed when I'm not with him--like when MIL is babysitting for more than an hour or two.) We're down to 1-2 good nursing sessions a day, the first around 5AM (when he doen't STTN), and the second when he wakes up for the day. </p> <p>He "drive-by nurses" a TON during the day, though. He'll latch on to each boob for literally 5-10 seconds each (or will go back and forth between them) before running off. I can't imagine he's getting much...it never feels like enough to trigger a letdown, and I think at this point it's just for comfort (and he just had 4 more teeth come in...)</p> <p>So we're at 1-2 sessions a day. My long-term goal was 1 year, and we're about there, and anything after is lagniappe. I'm not going to force a wean, but I feel like he'll wean himself before too long. I was so glad to see the back of it. DD stopped wanting to nurse before bedtime about 4 weeks ago. She basically just started looking at me like I was crazy whenever I brought the boob near her mouth.
