Regular jeans were just too uncomfortable on my bladder and I was having pretty bad heartburn. By about 20 weeks I was in all maternity tops too since my boobs got so huge. But I'm tall and most of my height is in my torso so there is a lot of room for baby to grow up insted of out. At 16 weeks my usual tops were all starting to get too short and looked funny. Maternity dresses can be rather large - so you may just consider getting a dress with an empire waist that's not maternity and you can wear it post-pregnancy : )</p> <p>ETA: By 13 weeks, I had only gained 3 lbs, but did have a little belly.
